Call Center Interns Vacancy: WidEnergy Africa Ltd


WidEnergy Africa is social, for profit startup that focuses on last mile distribution of clean, affordable and reliable energy solutions. Since 2016, we have empowered over thousands of Zambians with solar products and with our recently launched Pay As You Go solar home systems in the market.

Our business model relies on our young, dynamic and talented Team and we are now searching for Interns to join the Call Center Team. The focus of the responsibilities will be to create a professional, yet fun work culture in a fast-paced and multicultural environment while serving our customers in an excellent manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Re-activate disabled/Delinquent Customers
  • Research required information using available resources
  • Identify and escalate issues to the Call Center Manager
  • Conducting customer Surveys
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customers’ emails
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints
  • Sell products and place customer orders in the computer system
  • Research, identify and resolve customer complaints using applicable software
  • Document all call information according to given procedures
  • Follow up customer calls where necessary
  • Complete call logs and reports as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Call Center experience
  • Communication skills
  • Proficient in basic Arithmetic’s
  • Computer Literacy
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, and in 2 – 3 of the main local languages,
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders in multicultural environment
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
