Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Commercial Division under the Corporate Banking Department at Head Office.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Bank’s end-to-end cash management business on the non-lending side across Zambia by developing and growing cash management solutions in ways that attract and retain clients and enable the Bank to meet its revenue and liability targets
  • Under the supervision of Head – Transaction Services
  • Establish and deliver targets for cash management and liabilities in line with strategy
  • Analyse income generated by different customer transactions
  • Analyse percentages of transactional business derived from corporate and other client segments
  • Analyse revenues generated from the bank’s total cash and trade income
  • Investigate ways of incentivising customers to migrate their transactional banking to Zanaco and then product sets needed to entice them
  • Ensure ancillary revenues and cross-selling are fully monetised in accordance with the bank’s ecosystem model
  • Identify revenue opportunities, industry sectors and clients for each product and translate these into detailed sub-targets
  • Stay abreast of market and industry trends, competitor activities and external regulatory requirements in order to ensure the business is geared to anticipate change
  • Understand and manage the risks affecting the business, both now and downthe-line
  • Ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory, internal policy and process standards

Qualifications

  • Five Credits Grade 12 Certificate including Mathematics and English
  • University Degree in relevant subject
  • Diploma in Banking and Finance will be an added advantage
  • Three years banking & marketing experience
  • Understanding of banking Transaction Services products and account opening, KYC, Cash and other Branch process requirements
  • Understanding of relevant legislation KYC, Anti – Money laundering, Banking code
  • Understanding of people policies and processes
  • Demonstrated complaint handling and resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
