We are looking for an outstanding Human Resource with extensive experience in high profile and complex environments to fill the following position:

HEAD TREASURER (MT4)

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing, formulating and executing systems which will guide the treasury Department of the Bank in their day to day operations as well as analyze and evaluate the systems to ensure conformity with the Bank’s systems and coordinate all activities of the department with other departments in the Bank. The ideal candidate is also the principal risk officer for Liquidity and Market risk

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Oversee the Treasury department of the Bank and provide guidance on systems and administrative procedures in line with the Bank policies.
  • Monitoring the Bank’s performance in Treasury activities.
  • Monitor Macro economic trends and develop strategies.
  • Responsible for managing the Bank’s liquidity and Market Risk as Principal Officer and coordinator of the Bank’s contingency funding plan
  • Oversee the development of guidelines and operations manual in the department.
  • Developing, reviewing and recommending Treasury Po kin to ensure improved efficiency at minimal risk and at a profit.
  • Directing the Treasury team to ensure that the Bank is compliant with all Central Bank regulations.
  • Directing Market research in Treasury and coordinating these with other key departments in developing new products and cross-selling.
  • Develop and formulate a comprehensive and consolidated budget for the department

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Seven years’ senior level management experience in banking, preferably with five years’ work experience in Treasury.
  • Knowledge of the local banking industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of risk methodologies coupled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills.
  • Assets and Liabilities management is key
  • Strong capabilities in assessing critical operational and market risk issues arising from activities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at Senior Management and Board Pavel.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word & Excel).

QUALIFICATION

  • Five O Levels with credits (or better) in English and Mathematics.
  • Degree in any financial discipline /Commerce or full ZICA / ACCA / CIMA qualification

 

  • ACI Certified
