Chief of Party: University Research Co., LLC (URC) Zimbabwe Job Vacancy

University Research Co., LLC (URC) was established in 1965, and offers a range of technical assistance to strengthen health and social systems and service quality by empowering communities and health workers to identify and scale up locally appropriate solutions to critical problems. URC is currently seeking candidates for an upcoming USAID Zimbabwe Assistance Program in Malaria. This five-year project will support the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) to strengthen malaria prevention and case management activities at national, provincial, district, and/or community levels.

Location : Harare, Zimbabwe.

Job Title : Chief of Party

The Chief of Party will have technical and management responsibility for a large, complex integrated project and its staff, in addition to serving as URC’s representative to USAID, relevant government agencies, other donors and multinationals, technical agencies and other participating organizations as required. S/he will be responsible for compliance with the agreement results and the oversight of project activities which will meet the stated objectives of the project.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

Advanced degree in international public health, biological sciences, environmental sciences, entomology, or other related field; Minimum ten (10) years of relevant professional experience managing and implementing health sector development projects with a minimum of seven(7)years of experience managing malaria projects in sub-Saharan Africa (experience in Zimbabwe preferred).
