Civil Service Commission – Zambia Recruiting: Chief Planning and Research Officer


The Civil Service Commission invites applications from suitably qualified serving officers to fill vacant positions in the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious:
To supervise and co-ordinate the development of projects and program activities in order to facilitate the implementation of plans and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating effectively, the planning of projects and program activities to facilitate successful implementation of the Ministry’s policies
  • Liaising effectively with institutions involved in projects and programs to ensure coordinated effort
  • Ensure timely preparation of appropriate project proposals in order to mobilize resources and support
  • Coordinating effectively, the periodic monitoring of projects and programs in order to assess their impact and facilitate appropriate interventions
  • Coordinating effectively, all research activities in order to generate information for decision making
  • Coordinating effectively, the preparation of all departmental budgets in order to consolidate the ministerial submissions
  • Managing effectively, the human and other resources of the section in order to facilitate the attainment of the Department’s objectives

Qualifications

  • Thirty years and above
  • Twelve/Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Economics or another relevant field
  • Six years relevant work experience
