Zambia Sugar Plc, a large agro-industry which is part of illova Sugar Ltd, is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. It’s main activities are the growing of sugarcane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products. The company has a permanent employee base of 1,700 employees and offers medical, educational, sport, recreation and other social facilities on the Estate in Mazabuka.
Responsibilities
- To Maximize juice purification and concentration and minimize loses in the clarification area
- Ensuring availability of the Plant and Equipment is maintained by ensuring that correct machine operating procedures and quality control parameters are followed
- Ensuring product quality by optimization of sugar recovery through plant efficiency and sanitation
- Ensuring efficient generation of condensate for boiler feed and other process usages to have a good steam condensing in the Heaters and Evaporators
Qualifications
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering
- Two years experience in Sugar Technology and Process Operations
- Pan Boiling experience
- Full member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
