Clinical Instructors Wanted: Rusangu University – Ending 21 July 2017

Rusangu University, an Adventist Institution of higher learning, registered and recognised by the Higher Education Authority is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Job Title: Clinical Instructors

Location: Lusaka (1), Kitwe (1)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a valid RN license for Zambia with at least three years of bedside nursing experience

Duties

1. Liaises with lecturers regarding skills the students are required to learn
2. Supervises, instructs, and evaluates students in the skill’s laboratory.
3. Plans and conducts student conferences; demonstrates nursing skills and procedures.
4. Supervises the operation of audio-visual films, materials, and equipment; prepares clinical/lab equipment for demonstrations and lectures;
5. Orders necessary supplies and equipment; performs related duties as assigned.
6. Performs clinical instructions, and demonstrations; observes return demonstration from students.
7. Collaborates with colleagues to revise and evaluate course content and teaching issues may also be included.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

1. Nursing skills and techniques
2. Laboratory and audio-visual equipment.

Ability to:

1. Supervise and evaluate students
2. Conduct clinical instruction
3. Maintain library of periodicals
4. Coordinate work with various locations
5. Communicate effectively orally and in writing
6. Establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
