Consultant Project Manager Job: World Renew

World Renew is looking for an experienced consultant Project Manager to oversee humanitarian food distribution in Shangombo district during April – June.

The objectives for the assignment are to:

1. Support staff with establishing seamless distribution mechanisms based on changing context. This will include tracking of commodities from the primary warehouse, training the committees to enhance the distributions processes to ensure beneficiaries receive rightful monthly food rations in a dignified manner and at a time and place that is convenient for them.
2. Overseeing stock management at the warehouses(s) and management of the secondary transport operation
3. Ensure the LMMS updating, gender and safeguarding aspects of the projects are set in place, in addition to a functional complaint response mechanism. Coordination is central to World Renew and therefore all project activities will be coordinated at all stages putting at the centre the affected communities and beneficiaries.
4. Support and develop the programming capacity of UCZ
5. Management of staff, including hiring new staff if required

Expected qualifications of the consultant are:

• Previous experience in rural Zambia
• Experience of delivering humanitarian assistance in remote locations
• Previous experience working with food commodities and warehousing
• Knowledge of CHS and of global best practice in gender and safeguarding
• Documented right to work in Zambia
