Summary:
USAID has entered into a Cooperative Agreement with Counterpart International for a project titled Fostering Accountability and Transparency in Zambia (FACT Zambia). The program will improve the ability of Zambian civil society organizations (CSOs) and citizens to collaborate with selected government entities to enhance and promote transparency and accountability in the delivery of targeted public services.
Counterpart is seeking people for the following position in relation to the FACT program:
Job Title: Grants Officer (12 month contract)
Candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements for this position:
Grants Officer:
- Bachelor degree in finance, business administration, or related field is required.
- 3 years’ work experience in grants management, including accounting, budgeting, and grants management.
- A member of Zambian Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
- Experience with USAID-funded programs, including demonstrated knowledge of USG rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is desirable
- Able to build the capacity of local partners in financial management
- Demonstrates impeccable integrity and business standards and passionate about serving others
- Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and diplomatic skills for building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues, local partners and other external stakeholders
- Able to travel regularly to support partners outside of Lusaka up to 30% of your time
