Summary:
USAID has entered into a Cooperative Agreement with Counterpart International for a project titled Fostering Accountability and Transparency in Zambia (FACT Zambia). The program will improve the ability of Zambian civil society organizations (CSOs) and citizens to collaborate with selected government entities to enhance and promote transparency and accountability in the delivery of targeted public services.
Counterpart is seeking people for the following positions in relation to the FACT program:
Job Title: Grants, Finance and Compliance Manager (48 month contract))
Candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements for this position:
Grants, Finance & Compliance Manager:
- A university degree in finance, business administration, or related field is required.
- At least five (5) years’ work experience in financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and grants management.
- A member of Zambian Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
- At least four (4) years’ work experience with USAID-funded programs, including demonstrated knowledge of USG rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with sub-grants management
- Knowledge of accounting software is required preferably Quickbooks
- Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience in mentoring staff and organizations, and transferring skills and knowledge;
- Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and diplomatic skills for building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues, CSOs, government counterparts and other stakeholders
- Able to travel occasionally to support partners outside of Lusaka up to 10% of your time
