Provides worldwide service parts support for less complex new product launches and current product.

Provides service parts support for the current product in the field, while interfacing with manufacturing plant facilities, the Distribution Channel, Original Equipment Manufacturers, end customers, Parts Distribution Centres, Joint Ventures, Purchasing, and internal customers.

Qualifications

  • Customer Liaison, Service Operations, Parts Operations, Computer Literacy, Operating System (example Rascal – QuickServe), Telephone Skills – Essential
  • Must be technically competent (have critical Functional/Technical skills listed below
  • Product Knowledge on the products and services of the company – desirable
  • Analyse Issues – Understanding of how to analyse issues. Demonstrates the use of analytical skills to learn and analyse information in a timely way.
  • Applies accurate logic in solving problems.
  • Aftermarket Parts – Engine Business Unit (Ebu) -Understanding of the aftermarket parts system from part number release through on stocking at parts distribution centres. Demonstrates knowledge by releasing parts for aftermarket.
  • Inventory Control and Management – Understand the need to have inventory control and inventory management strategies to meet Cummins strategic plans.
  • Product Structure – Aware of and can apply the rationale around the identification of product items and the methodology for structuring this information into saleable, manufacturable and serviceable product. Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying product structure rules such as item compatibilities, dependencies and relationships. Limited guidance is required to apply it to their role.
