JOB TITLE: Warehouse Manager
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
- Ensure that there is enough stock in the warehouse for re-sell.
- Provide logistical support to transport service providers.
- Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
- Assess the performance of transporters, recommend reliable ones for the movement of chemicals and guard contracts for the transportation of general goods.
- Ensure that goods are delivered on time to our clients and warehouse.
- Verify transporter’s payment vouchers are made at correct rates and other budgetary controls.
- Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Contribute to the formation and control of company transport budget
- Facilitate periodic stock taking.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilization.
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products.
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure that all customer queries, feedback and complaints are timely and amicably attended to and resolved.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree/Diploma in Transport and Logistics, Purchasing & Supply or equivalent
- Three years work experience in the Warehouse
- Good Computer skills
