The Ministry of Health (MOH) through its National Malaria Control Centre in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is conducting a project to assess practical application of a Diseases Data Management System (DDMS) tool designed to meet the data management and decision support needs of the vector-borne disease control programs as they transition through control to elimination.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the portal site is up and running in an acceptance manner, and perform any additional functionality as is required
- Support collection of data and ensures that data is received and published in a timely manner from the field sites into the portal
- Perform validation and quality assurance checks on data sets received
- Develop meta-data for key data sets in coordination with the project partners
- Develop maps, reports and splash board type charts as required by the project
- Coordinate updates of manuals and standard operational procedures as it relates to key operations of the paper and web-based platform
- Maintain confidentiality of information covered in all data collection tools
- Any other duties that be assigned as required
Qualification
- Full grade 12 certificate with five O level credits including English and Mathematics
- Diploma in Computer Science (with three years experience in server and data management) or degree in Computer Science (with one year experience in server and data management)
- Data management skills
- Web development skills will
- Use of open source software
