Dangote Industries (Z) Limited is looking for action oriented, high performing and dedicated professional to join the Human Resource Department.

Position: MANAGER INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

Department: Human Resource Department

Reports to: General Manager- HR & Administration

Job Summary

Provide support and guidance in managing employee matters and issues at the plant.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and interprets company conditions of service in line overall company strategy and Zambian Labour Laws.
  • Manage employee discipline and grievances as defined in the HR policies, processes and procedures manual.
  • Manage staff welfare & benefits in line with defined policies.
  • Play an Interface role between the company and the community and handles all requests for assistance from stakeholders.
  • Respond to staff inquiries/complaints and ensure prompt resolution or escalated to superior were necessary.

Key Skills & know how

  • Excellent understanding of the dynamics of the Industrial and labour legislations in Zambia.
  • Excellent understanding of HR policies, procedures and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related social sciences from a recognized institution. MBA qualification is an added advantage.
  • Professional qualification/ training in HR Management/ Industrial Relations.
  • Not less than Seven (7) years experience in industrial relations obtained from reputable organizations.
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
