DAPP Zambia Currently Recruiting Consultants – July 2017


Consultancy services required to provide business development services and capacity building in urban based community groups

Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) in Zambia creates development in communities together with the people by sharing necessary skills, knowledge and tools to fight poverty, illiteracy and disease.

DAPP was registered as a welfare society in 1990 and runs a number of projects in the 10 provinces of Zambia currently reaching over 1 million people in Zambia.

DAPP with funding from USAID is implementing a five-year ZAMFAM SOUTH CENTRAL project to improve the care and resilience of vulnerable children by supporting, protecting, and strengthening the capacity of children, families and communities. ZAMFAM SOUTH CENTRAL project has three sub partners, Creative Associates International, Kabwe Adventist Family Health Institute (KAFHI) and the Network of Zambian People Living with HIV/AIDS (NZP+).

Part of the project’s aim is to build capacity in 300 urban based community groups using participatory self-assessment and a tailored, flexible approach that uses training, coaching, and mentoring. The purpose is to improve the ability of these groups to manage their groups better and to implement quality and sustainable business demonstrations that can be replicated at homestead level by individual members of the groups.

DAPP therefore seeks consultancy services from organizations or firms that can provide business development services and build capacity in urban based community groups in business development so that they become coherent and able to run the various small-scale business as a group and improve skills for individual group members for replication.
