Design Engineer: Sinohydro Zambia Limited

Sinohydro Zambia Limited is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our innovative, fast-growing company.

You will be a member of our brilliant engineering team. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience using CAD software, with strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer you will be required to:

• Design new engineering products and processes
• Craft models and drawings using of products using CAD
• Research new product ideas and methods
• Maintain accurate records
• Write detailed reports
• Lead a team of engineers
• Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Design Engineer
• Proven experience using CAD software, knowledge of solid works is a plus
• Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
• Very good oral and written communication
• Attention to detail
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• 5-7 years’ experience of work in a related field
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
