Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Zambia [Several Positions]
Employment Opportunities
Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Zambia, is a locally registered NGO engaged in development projects, in all the provinces of Zambia, in the fields of Education, Health, Agriculture and other poverty alleviation programmes. DAPP is implementing the Malaria Elimination 8 (E8) Initiative, which is a coordinated, eight-country effort to achieve the historic goal of eliminating malaria in four southern Africa countries by 2020 (Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Swaziland), and to subsequently pave the way for elimination in four more countries by 2030 (Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe).
The SADC region continues to experience a significant rise in frequent and undocumented migration flow of humans, with significant importation/exportation of malaria from/to high/low transmission countries. Human movement across E8 borders facilitates the continued transmission of parasites into eliminating areas, serving as one of the key barriers to attaining elimination.
DAPP Zambia serves as an implementing partner to the E8 project for reduction of cross-border malaria transmission through testing and treatment of mobile and migrant populations; the project is being implemented along the E5 borders in collaboration with other organizations. The DAPP E8 project is now recruiting to fill the following positions below:
