Director of Finance and Administration Job: John Snow Health Zambia Limited

Background: 

John Snow Health Zambia, Limited (JSH) seeks a dynamic and highly experienced candidate for the Director of Finance and Administration position for a USAID-funded Total Market Approach project, titled “Accessible Markets for Health (ZAM-Health) Activity” in Zambia. The purpose of this activity is to improve health outcomes for Zambians by increasing the availability and accessibility of high-quality health products and services in the private sector.

Should JSH be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Lusaka.

Position Description:

The DFA will report to the JSH Chief of Party and will support the overall project financial management and compliance with USG, USAID, and PEPFAR financial regulations. The DFA will oversee and provide management support to project finances, grant management, human resources, procurement, and logistics. S/he will also provide management and operations support and oversight for the implementation of program activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with award terms, JSH, USG, USAID and PEPFAR policies and regulations
• Supervise all F&A staff
• Collaborate with the COP and SMT to ensure coherence between programmatic activities and financial provisions

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or other relevant field; or Bachelor’s degree or certified accounting degree
• Progressively responsible experience in financial management and administration of large-scale, complex international development assistance programs in a mid/senior capacity
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and/or experience in accounting, financial planning and management, procurement, and logistics
• Demonstrated supervisory experience
• Experience with USG, USAID, and/or PEPFAR funding rules and regulations is a plus

Supervision and Reporting:

The DFA will work under the guidance and supervision of the COP.
