Main Purpose of the Job:

The District Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring project performance according to the project goal and objectives. S/he will represent the organisation thorough public and private partnerships with stakeholders. They will oversee and provide leadership to a Data Entry Officer, Finance Officer and a team of SBCC (Social Behaviour Change Communication) and biomedical volunteers.

In consultation with the Director of Programmes, the Coordinator will:

  • Provide support to the community sites in the implementation of Biomedical and SBCC activities to include planning, preparation and reporting.
  • Approve work-plans and provide supervision to the Volunteers through on-going technical support ensuring that CT and SBCC activities are conducted on a regular basis.
  • Assist the Director of Programmes in identifying potential collaborating partners and undertake the necessary community mapping, liaise with community based groups and facilitate linkages and collaboration with DMOs, DATFs, NZP+ (positive-living support groups), and community/ faith-based organizations within the catchment areas to ensure that the ZCHPP Project and ZHECT’s presence is valued.
  • Facilitate the process of Quality Assurance (QA) for HTC activities
  • Work with the Data Entry Officer to compile both qualitative and quantitative site monthly reports for submission to the Director of Programmes and Director Research Monitoring and Evaluation respectively.
  • Work with the Finance Officer to ensure prudent utilization of project funds and submit monthly financial reports to the Director of Finance and Administration.
  • Perform any other duties as may be instructed by the Director of Programmes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree in Public Health Sciences and /or social sciences
  • Higher University Diploma in the above fields

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Public Health Sciences and /or social sciences
