JOB OPPORTUNITY – COMMERCIAL PLUMBER

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company Limited (EWSC) is a Commercial Water Utility Company providing water and sanitation services to seven districts in Eastern Province and Chama in Muchinga Province. The company requires the services of a COMMERCIAL PLUMBER who should be prepared to start work at the shortest possible time. The position requires a dynamic, self-motivated person to be based in Chama.

MAIN TASKS OF THE JOB

• Carrying out repair and maintenance works on the network infrastructure in order to facilitate efficient flow and distribution of water to the consumers.
• Undertaking construction works involving laying and joining of pipes of various sizes and specifications as instructed by the supervisor.
• Completing job cards, highlighting work done, hours worked and materials used for costing purposes.
• Carrying out inspections of the network to detect and repair leaks
• Undertaking meter readings at customer premises and in the water supply system

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

(a) Full Grade 12 Certificate
(b) Craft Certificate in Plumbing or Equivalent Qualification, AND
diploma in a business discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
