Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) is a regional African – led non-governmental organization that supports livelihood – challenged communities in East and Southern Africa to sustainably improve their well – being and standard of living. With Country Programs in South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Somalia and Kenya, AAH-I has over 20 years ‘experience working with communities in conflict and post–conflict situations.
Action Africa Help Zambia (AAHZ) has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the World Food Programme (WFP) to support refugees and former refugees in Zambia.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any other related field, preferably from a Vocational or Trade school
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in servicing and repairing power generator sets preferred
6.4 Skills and Attributes Needed
- Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
- Ability to analyze and resolve both generation and supply of power from diesel or petrol run power generator sets
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
