It is also the first Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) declared by the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The Lusaka East MFEZ base is strategically located off Kasisi Road Close to the Lusaka International airport.
Electrician
Our organization is currently looking for an enthusiastic & energetic candidate to join our Lusaka team as an Electrician.
The ideal candidate will operate at our Lusaka East MFEZ & Kudo Road Service center in Lusaka.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify potential breakdowns and conduct maintenance to all electrical equipment on site to limit downtime of equipment
• Attend to reported breakdowns
• Inspect new electrical installations
• Adhere to internal departmental performance requirements, targets and quality standards as determined by management
• Inspection, repair, carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on genset systems
• Test, replace or adjust engine components such as valves, pistons, bearings, emissions systems, and other related systems;
• Make electrical and mechanical wiring modifications to diesel control circuits.

• Electrical wiring of buildings
• General repair and modifications of electrical wiring
• Interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Interpreting schematic diagrams and wiring.
• Identifying and repairing problems with engine control systems.
• General knowledge in preventive maintenance of a genset.
• Use stationary machine tooling to include but not limited to: drill presses, grinders, band saws, pipe threads/cutters.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently or under minimum supervision
• General repair and modifications of electrical wiring
• Interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Interpreting schematic diagrams and wiring.

Education and Experience
Education
Successful completion of a minimum of two-year at a technical electrical trade school & training/apprenticeship.
Experience
• Minimum of one year experience in electrical installation and maintenance
• Basic knowledge in genset operations and general maintenance (is a plus)
