Job Purpose:
The Content & Operations Manager is a member of the Procurement team supporting the Procurement organization in the operational process and system compliance, setup, monitoring and administration of contracts (including e-catalogues), vendor master data, material master data, and the user portal
In the role as Content & Operations Manager is both responsible for execution of Operational role (60%) for performance management, people development, resource allocation and overall responsibility for the team’s performance (30%) within the guidelines and framework managed and 10% System training

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

1. Minimum requirement: National Diploma in related field with post-graduate Supply Chain / Engineering.
Added advantage: BTech Diploma, CIPS.
2. 5+ years of procurement experience in operational procurement and 3+ years in a leadership position in a variety of Procurement roles in an FMCG environment
3. Recognised qualification in procurement would be considered an asset. In depth knowledge of procurement, preferably working in an international environment will be a benefit.

Job Specifications:

1. Manage and support the team of Buyer(s) and Local Category Specialists
2. Drive Buyer performance efficiency and capacity optimization
3. Operational and Systems Compliance
4. Create and Maintain Vendor Master Data, Material Master Data, Contracts (incl. e-Catalogues) and Portals for assigned categories
5. Regularly monitor contracts and portal content and revise as needed
6. Administer e-catalogue, contract and portal review
7. Provide support to the Local Procurement Specialists and the procurement organization
8. Execute large Spot Buys & Master Data Management
9. Inform recommendations and decisions with regards to Operational procurement relating to Content Management and spot buys.
10. Determine the optimal reporting infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency and service delivery
