Family Legacy Missions (FLMZ) is a Faith based organisation that upholds christian values and morals in the education of the orphaned and vulnerable children it serves. The organisation seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent individuals to be based in Lusaka for the following position:

Head Teacher

The head teacher shall be responsible for managing school activities at the school;monitoring teachers’ performance against set standards; ensuring that discipline and order is observed in both staff members and pupils; providing guidance and counselling to pupils; and making sure the school acquires and properly manages all the needed and or allocated resources. The job holder shall in addition be expected to undertake any responsibility as may be delegated to him or her by his or her supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate and manage the operations of the school
  • Monitor and evaluate school performance against set standards
  • Manage Teachers’ performance
  • Manage the school -parent relationship

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Degree in Education
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates commitment to FLMZ mission, vision and values
  • Good management and leadership skills
  • Remains calm, in control and good humored even under pressure
  • A course in education leadership will be an added advantage
  • 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity

Key competencies

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Self guided and able to perform well with limited supervison.
  • Acumen to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Availability for irregular work shifts.
  • Computer literate.
