Job Summary

Preparation and maintenance of accounts records and reports for the project, maintaining an updated fixed assets register, understanding of all accounting and administration procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Receiving of revenue and preparation of deposit slips for all banking
  • Analysing and posting of petty cash expenses
  • Analysis of fuel accounts and preparation of a monthly report
  • Posting of transactions and preparation of financial reports
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements for the project
  • Maintenance of fixed assets registers
  • Preparation of payrolls
  • Ensuring that monthly payment of statutory deductions to ZRA & NAPSA
  • Ensuring timely retirement imprest by staff from the project (this includes analysis of expenses, posting and making follow ups for unretired imprest).
  • Conducting physical stock count quarterly
  • Preparation of weekly cash flows

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • NATECH, CIMA OR ACCA (part II).
  • 3-5 years practical experience.
  • Must have experience in operating Pastel Accounting Package.
  • Financial Report Writing.
  • Knowledge of Management Accounting is a plus.
  • Transport analysis (log sheet).
  • USG Rules and Regulations are an added advantage.
  • Excellent record of accomplishment and significant relevant experience in a similar role.
