REPSSI (Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative) is an award-winning and leading African psychosocial support organization. REPSSl’s vision is that all girls, boys and youth enjoy psychosocial and mental wellbeing. The organisation offers technical support in mainstreaming psychosocial support into programmes and services for girls, boys and youth in East and Southern Africa. REPSSl’s interventions have reached over 2.4 million children and adolescents in East and Southern Africa with psychosocial support and mental health programmes and services.

REPSSI is implementing a three-year project dubbed Restoring Children and Young People’s Lost Aspiration, Integrity and Mental Well-being (ReCLAlM). The project implemented in eastern and southern provinces aims at providing mental health support to children and young people at an early stage so that they are aware of their mental health and can build resilience as they grow and develop. The organization, therefore, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following positions:

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • S/he is responsible for the provision of comprehensive financial, administrative support to the Project to ensure efficient and effective financial & administrative operations.
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly cash books, budget tracking and perform bank reconciliations and other relevant and necessary reports
  • Maintaining general ledgers
  • Prepare budgets and cash forecasts
  • Administer and manage accounts payables and accounts receivables as they relate to the project
  • Maintaining the asset register and office supplies
  • Organizing & coordinating events and workshops
  • Providing logistical support for travel and meetings
  • Support in providing efficient and effective general administration of the office management

Essential requirements:

  • A qualification in financial accounting and administration preferably at Diploma level or ACCA part 2 or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years Finance & Administration experience
  • Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office Suite applications required especially spreadsheets.
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Experience in the use and reporting of multi-currencies
  • Knowledge in office administration and accounting principles
  • Numerical accuracy required in entering financial information and preparation of the report
  • Good interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Proactive and team player, able to work with minimal supervision and paying attention to detail.
