Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of the departmental business plan based on rigorous environmental and competitor analysis. Provides information and guidance for financial planning purposes
  • Maintains custody of Mobile Money financial policies, procedures and systems, disseminates these effectively and monitors compliance
  • Assesses financial risks related to Mobile Money operations and recommend ways to mitigate these
  • Performs routine reconciliation and audit risk tracking
  • Provides support for resolving queries between agents and service centers
  • Runs reports and produces statistics for decision making
  • Prepares statutory reports according to international financial reporting standards
  • Prepares and submits weekly and monthly performance reports on a timely basis
  • Effectively manages the development of direct reports, effectively linking performance management, learning & development, talent management and the MTNZ Employee Value Proposition to achieve optimum performance

Candidate Requirements

  •  Accounting or equivalent qualification– ACCA/CIMA
  • Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must
  • Five (5) years experience in banking and financial management
  • Database management
  • Customer relationship management
  • Report writing, Financial Management and audit training
