Finance Manager job in Zambia: Expanded Church Response (ECR)


Expanded Church Response (ECR) is a faith-based organisation implementing OVC, GBV, and HIV/AIDS, and other programs to mitigate human suffering and bring transformation development.

ECR has implemented programs funded by USAID, European Union, UNICEF, and Global Fund either directly or through a range of highly regarded local and local and international organizations. Working with partners like these, the private sector, and government, we are seeing communities awakened to new ways of improving quality of life for the most vulnerable, and in turn rise up to the key to their own transformation.

ECR is seeking highly qualified, purpose driven candidates with a passion for the vulnerable and awakening potential in others, to fill in the positions below –year USAID funded project-Zambia Family (ZAMFAM);

  1. Finance Manager – The FM will support the Finance and Operations Director in ensuring compliance with grant, organizational and statutory policies and regulations and ensuring proper maintenance of financial records. She/he will be responsible for ensuring integrity in the accounting package, including preparing and consolidating balance sheets and accountants reconciliation. Other tasks may include (a) Ensuring proper maintenance of financial documentation, (b) Organizing filing system and ensure Payment Vouchers, Journal Vouchers and all financial documents are property filed. In addition, this manager will supervise a Grants Accountant to ensure proper management of USAID funds timely reporting by sub-recipients/partners.
  1. Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Expertise
  • Degree in Accounting or full ZICA/NATECH/Diploma and full ACCA/CIMA/ZICA
  • At least 5years experience in Grants management, experience in USAID/EU grants will be added advantage
  • A grants management trainer and be able to travel to program locations as required
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, QuickBooks accounting package
  • Good written and verbal English communication
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, organize and prioritize tasks, excellent supervisory skills, self-motivated, quick learners, team orientated
