Job Title: Finance Officer

Job Purpose

Responsible for the following:-

  • Assisting in reconciliation of all Finance owned Suspense and Sundry accounts.
  • Ensure that all General Ledger account entries are known and reasonable.
  • Compiling tax payments to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority
  • Updating, reconciling and maintain the fixed assets in the General Ledger.
  • Assisting in processing of payments for the whole Bank’s and reconciliation of vendor statements
  • Raising and monitoring Purchase Orders and Department costs
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned from time to time that are commensurate with the position.
  • Any Other Business as delegated by superiors

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in reconciliation of all Finance owned Suspense and Sundry accounts.
  •  Ensure that all General Ledger account entries are known and reasonable.
  •  Compiling tax payments to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority
  •  Updating, reconciling and maintain the fixed assets in the General Ledger.
  •  Assisting in processing of payments for the whole Bank’s and reconciliation of vendor statements
  •  Raising and monitoring Purchase Orders and Department costs
  •  Ensure the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis and that its customers are satisfied with the service the office provides.
  •  Ensure that the image of the office is what it should be professionally, ethically and socially.
  •  Type all correspondence and reports.
  •  Ensure accurate recording and timely reminders of appointments of the CFO
  •  Ensure friendly and efficient handling of telephone calls and visitors
  •  Ensure that correspondence and Reports are properly filed and that the filing system in place is effective.
  •  Ensure that mail is moved quickly, cheaply and to correct destinations.
  •  Attend to all travel arrangements of the CFO and other Finance staff.
  •  Ensure that the CFO has all he needs for his appointments and meetings.
  •  Assist in the Dept and relieve junior level roles where current staffs are on leave or under pressure due to capacity constraints.

    Qualifications and Skills

  •  At least part professional qualification in Accounting & Finance e.g. IOBZ, CIMA, CIS & ACCA.
  •  Good working knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  •  High level of computer literacy
  •  Formal Advanced Secretarial qualifications including advanced typing, office practice, and computer operation training will be an added advantage .
  •  Good communication and inter-personal skills.
  •  An Accounting degree or diploma will be an added advantage
