Financial Management Experts Wanted in Zambia – May 2017
Position Location: Lusaka Zambia
Key Responsibilities
IBI is searching for qualified local and international financial professionals to serve as senior advisors to international organizations located in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and Djibouti.
Duties will include:
Develop and implement capacity development programs in the areas of financial controls, budgeting, budget execution, participatory budgeting, public expenditure management, accounting procedures and policies, use of accounting software, internal auditing, internal control policies and procedures.
Develop and implement capacity development programs in public procurement, including development of policies and procedures, manuals, and training programs
Key Qualifications:
A Bachelor-level degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Public Administration or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technical areas noted under ‘Key Responsibilities’
7 years of international consulting experience on donor-funded projects, with a preference for USAID experience in Africa and specifically Kenya, Djibouti, Tanzania, or Zambia.
Consulting experience working with Host Country Governments and international organizations
Capacity building and training experience in the area of public finance and procurement
Risk management and mitigation experience, i.e. the design and implementation of strategies for improving anti-corruption and public financial management
Fluent in English
