This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
- Prepare budgets for construction projects.
- Implement and maintain financial control systems.
- Prepare BOQs, materials listing and actual costings for planned projects.
- Set up tender documents.
- Evaluating tenders for approval
- Contract Negotiations
- Procure materials for the project through the KMPL procurement system.
- Monitoring of budgets for construction projects
- Set up a production management tracking and reporting system.
- Preparing of payments of invoices and payment certificates
- Assessment of variations on site
- Feasibility studies on new construction projects
- Sticking to timelines, budgets and arrange all materials to come to the site
- Generate reports as and when required.
- Takes up responsibilities of Construction Manager in his absence
- Provide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on Zambian employees.
- Other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Quantity Surveying with (CCS) Candy Construction Software knowledge.
- WINQS software.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
- Valid Silicosis certificate
