Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for managing the Workshop in Ndola.

- Supervision of all maintenance activities for the Roads Department fleet;
-
- Quality control of all repair work;
-
- Ensuring repairs are carried out in a safe and timely manner;
-
- Liaise with planners to ensure parts are available for repairs and maintenance;
-
- Liaise with the Plant Manager and OEM on warranty issues;
-
- Ensuring availability of components and parts when required;
-
- Being proactive in the training of the national workforce;
-
- The role will also include introducing safe and effective work practices in the section which will include introducing “continual improvement” techniques to maintain his equipment at the highest availability and integrity;

- Leading by example and introducing a culture of preventive and planned maintenance to the section, and
-
- Other duties as defined by the Manager.
Skills, Education and Experience:

- Relevant Degree, Diploma or Trade Certificate

- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
-
- At least 15 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of construction equipment, trucks, and light vehicles.
