KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
- Must be able to operate a heavy-duty drilling machine.
- Must measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Set up, adjust and operate all basic machine tools such as a drilling machine.
- Align and secure holding fixture, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto a drilling machine.
- Monitor the feed and speed of a drilling machine during the drilling process.
- Must layout, measure, and mark-out mould stocks.
- Must be able to clean and lubricate the drilling machine, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease rust, stains, and foreign matter.
- Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade test certificate in plant fitting or boiler-making works and apprenticeship served.
EXPERIENCE
- Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.
- Ideally having experience in workshop drilling of work pieces.
