Job Title: Floating Operator

Responsibilities

  • The Operator is expected to deliver consistent, stable results in terms of concentrate grades and recoveries in interaction with other team members
  • The Operator has to ensure safe and adequate operation of equipment as well as supporting delivery thereof to
    Maintenance activities
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
  • Compliance to HSE requirements and reporting correcting defects and unsafe conditions
  • Monitor, assess and correct internal KPI to a flotation circuit
  • Fill and ensure accuracy of required log sheets
  • Conduct thorough and accurate shift hand overs
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Flotation Shift Supervisor

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or technical equivalent
  • Three years relevant experience
  • Flotation Operational experience in Copper Sulphide ore processing plant is required
  • Operational experience in large concentrators is a plus
