Key Responsibilities
- The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function;
- Identify worn & faulty components needed in accordance with the Company Standards;
- Advice customer of work required to ensure vehicle is in road worthy condition;
- Remove & refit components and carry out tire related adjustments in accordance with the Technical Standards and Work Instructions;
- Repair Tires in accordance with the Technical Standards and Work Instructions;
- Contribute to Good Housekeeping routines;
- Place goods and materials into storage and participate in stock routines as directed;
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures;
- Perform tire replacements, repairs and balancing on motor vehicles;
- Complete tire request forms as well as collect tires from other departments; and
- Report any broken, faulty, damaged equipment to management team
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate
- Craft Certificate from recognized institution or the equivalent certificate of Training
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a tire fitter in heavy equipment area
