Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
  • Produce accurate designs and drawings of proposed and existing Plant layouts as well as detail and assembly drawings of equipment and basic structures as required in the Plant using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to the required technical quality.
  • Updating the mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, electrical, layouts and working drawings and schedules.
  • Ensure that all drawing related documentation is as per Product engineering procedures prior to Releasing to Documentation Control.
  • Check engineering detail designs for manufacture.
  • Attend engineering design reviews to establish best solution.
  • Cost reduction, savings within department & products (without any detrimental effect to design or Functionality of products).
  • Perform all duties assigned or related incidentals upon reasonable request to the proper completion of job tasks
  • Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Draughting Diploma / degree / relevant tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Must have extensive AutoCAD knowledge (Inventor advantageous).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a draughtsman with mining experience
