PURPOSE
This position exists to ensure safe installation and maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment i.e. crusher/gearboxes/pumps etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and Safety
Follow written safe procedures
Wear correct PPE for each specific task
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed as per training and site-specific standards
Ensure emergency preparedness from all team members
Report and record unsafe acts, conditions and incidents

Maintenance Services
Punctual adherence to Site-specific time schedule/shift times
Attend safety talks
Complete tasks per issued job cards
Safekeeping of tools
Implement maintenance schedules
Maintains and repairs all mechanical equipment(pumps/screens/crushers/gear boxes etc.)
Plan for material and men to assist for jobs

QUALIFICATIONS
Grade Twelve(12) School Certificate
Craft Certificate in Fitting

EXPERIENCE
2 years experience in any of the following fields: Mining/construction/transport/plant hire or manufacturing.
