Sylva Food Solutions is looking for a Food Technologist to join its growing team. The incumbent shall be responsible for the following but not limited too:

Planning and organizing production schedules
Estimating, negotiating and agreeing on budgets and timelines with clients and other managers
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
Managing product development projects to include: formulation, development, benchtop testing, sensory evaluation, obtaining and evaluating new ingredients
Develop information and issue product specifications
Conduct all activities in compliance with established safety standards and good manufacturing procedures(GMP) while working closely with ZABS and ZEMA representatives to ensure all company, and national requirements for food safety are met.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Full grade twelve certificate
  • Computer literate
  • BSC OR Diploma in Food Production
  • Minimum 4 years post experience in a similar position
