Give the Children of Mpongwe a Future (GCMF), an NGO based in Mpongwe district of the Copperbelt Province, is looking for an enthusiastic and enterprising manager for the operations and further development of its GCMF guesthouse.

The candidate for this position should be able to think out of the box, to see difficulties as challenges, should be innovative and able to impress guests and team members with new ideas.

The guesthouse has 12 rooms, a restaurant, an internet café and reception, high occupancy rate of the rooms and enjoys clients from all over the world.

The guesthouse is an income generating project for the OVC project (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) in which currently 50 children are participating. The target of the guesthouse is to finance the OVC program for 100 children.

Job description:

• Strengthening the position of the guesthouse in the local, national and international market;
• Generating sufficient income to provide orphans and vulnerable children/youngsters with a scholarship
• Generating income by organizing events, and tourist activities in the area in combination with Community Based Tourism.
• Providing monthly management report
• Procurement and accounting

Requirements

• Diploma in Hospitality or Hospitality related
• 3-year relevant work experience
• Fluently in English
• Good Communication skills
• computer literate
