The Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust (GART) is a Public-Private Sector Partnership promoting sustainable agriculture through adaptive and applied research.

GART wishes to invite applications for the following vacancies:

(1) AGRONOMIST (Research)

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a reputable institution with 3 to 5 years industry related experience
• Experience in managing Research Trials
• Demonstrated competency in Project Planning
• Must be able to give direction to a team of Research Technicians
• Must be able to build strong working relationships with external partners
• Must be familiar with the various linkages and operations of the Zambia seed industry
• Must have a clean and valid motor vehicle license

 

(2) FARM MANAGER (Commercial)

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum qualification of a Diploma in Agriculture with at least 5 years’ experience
• Knowledge of the operations of commercial farm machinery
• Conversant with the commercial production of soya beans, potatoes and wheat
• Knowledge about pastures and livestock management
• Ability to coordinate and Supervise Farm Staff
• Must have a clean and valid motor vehicle license
• Applicants should be aged between 35 and 55 years.
