The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is a statutory body established by the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013. The mandate of the Authority is to regulate and monitor standards in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in order to ensure quality services and contribute to the enhancement of human capital and accelerated national development.

Assistant Accountant (1)

JOB PURPOSE

To undertake the collection and receipting of revenue in order to facilitate implementation of programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Undertakes timely receipting and banking of revenue in order to facilitate accountability
b) Prepares accurately payment in order to facilitate expenditure
c) Undertakes timely issuance of cheques in order to facilitate payments
d) Prepares timely cash reports in order to facilitate decision making.
e) Undertakes timely, development of individual work plans in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

a) Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
b) Diploma in Accountancy/Finance from a recognized Higher Education Institution.
c) Practicing member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountant.

MINIMUM RELEVANT PRE-JOB EXPERIENCE
