HR Officer
- Formulation and implementation of Company HR Policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance to all labor laws
- Ensure implementation of a performance management system
- Ensure that all Staff have clear job descriptions
- Ensure staff competency levels are maintained and improved upon through structured training programs
- Implementation of an Induction program for all staff
- Provide advice and information to employees on human resource policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety programmes.
- Advertise staff vacancies, assess applications, interview applicants, administer selection tests, prepare reports and staff appointments.
- Maintain personal records of employees on matters such as salary ranges and leave schedules.
- Coordinate staff training and welfare activities
- Ensures timesheets are received on time and they are checked for correctness.
- Review payroll schedule in the absence of HR Manager.
- Create and maintain individual data for new employees in the HR Database.
- Help implement organisational changes such as those following from country legislation, revised job classification structures and technological changes.
- Update and monitor individual leave days on the Database and ensure accurate posting.
- Any other Human Resources duties as and when requested
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources department, two of which must be at supervisory level
