HR Recruitment Officer: TopFloor Zambia


ROLE SUMMARY

The HR Recruitment Officer will be responsible for developing recruitment and selection plans and use all possible sourcing strategies to efficiently and effectively fill all vacant positions. The HR Recruitment Officer is also responsible for assessing applicants and extending job offers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Work with hiring managers to create job descriptions.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Screen applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Schedule for interviews.
  • Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers
  • Administer appropriate company assessments.
  • Follow up on the interview process status.
  • Perform reference and background checks.
  • Make recommendations to company hiring managers.
  • Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved.
  • Ensure that the company’s organization structure, HR policy, and labour laws are adhered to regarding employment practices.
  • Serve as a liaison with employment agencies, universities, and industry associations.
  • Complete timely reports on recruitment activities.
  • Conduct exit interviews on terminating employees.
  • Any other duties as or may be assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related major.
  • 2 years of work experience in HR and Recruitment environment.
  • Must have knowledge of the legal framework that relates to labour in Zambia.
  • Must be extremely organized, diligent and have integrity.
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented with a proactive approach to work.
  • Must have an excellent command of English (written and verbal communication).
  • Must have the ability to implement a recruitment strategy with proven results.
  • Should be analytical and be able to manage challenges relating to the department.
  • Should have demonstrable proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Should have a working knowledge of other HR functions.
