The Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) was set up by the Medicines and Allied Substances Act (No. 3) of 2013 as a statutory body responsible for drug regulation in Zambia.
The Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to fill the following vacant positions at the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority Secretariat:
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (1)
JOB PURPOSE
To undertake the provision of human resource, support services in order to facilitate the attainment of the Authority’s strategic objectives
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Full-Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate including English and Mathematics ;
- Degree in Human Resource Management,/Public Administration, or equivalent;
- Full Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management with valid practicing Certificate;
- 5 years post qualification experience in a similar work environment;
- Knowledge of labour Laws,
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and plan workload to meet objectives:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within available timeframes;
- A basic knowledge of contemporary human resources practices ;
- Ability to handle sensitive issues of a confidential nature with tact and professionalism;
- Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports as required;
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member;
- Must be a Zambian citizen not less than 30 years old
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality professional advice and support to Supervisors and staff for all HR related matters;
- Provide assistance to the Head Human Resource in the following areas: skill audits and job evaluations, organization Structure reviews and compensation surveys;
- In conjunction with other members of the Human Resource provide advice on the interpretation of HR Policies, procedures, guidelines and employee relations issues to staff ;
- Undertake and maintain the Human Resources personnel filing systems;
- Assist in the administration of the Recruitment and Selection processes;
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the staff performance review process;
- Coordinate the annual Staff Recognition Awards;
- Undertakes the coordinating of the Staff medical Insurance;
- Maintain human resource databases to ensure correct recording of all staff and employment related information as required;
- Maintains human resources database and updates employee information such as personnel data, skills, competencies and training plans ;
- Assists in the management of Staff medical Insurance and
- Performs other duties as required or assigned by the Supervisor which arc reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above;
