Zambia Electronic Clearing House Limited (ZECHL) is a corporate entity registered under the Companies Act 1994, Chapter 388 of the Laws of Zambia whose main objective is to provide reliable, efficient, and cost-effective clearing and switching services to the financial sector. The company now wishes to recruit for the position to be based at its Head Officer situated at the COMESA Head Office Lusaka.

Human Resources Officer

Job Summary

To provide the human resource management function of the company. The role provides human resource services by implementing best practices of the profession and establishing systems, procedures, and policies. and monitoring of HR projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning and implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Manage and implement best in class employee life cycle HR practices (from hire  to retire)
  • Provide accurate and timely data, reports, analytics and recommendations for decision making
  • Manages and implements the Performance Management System (PMS) for all staff
  • Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results, uphold employee discipline, hearing and resolving employee grievances, and counseling employees.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource statutes, policies, and regulations
  • Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records up to date.
  • Manages human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Assist in managing procurement processes and effective security services.
  • Managing insurance policies of all classes
  • Managing the institution’s staff health care scheme.
  • Secretary of the procurement committee

Academic and Professional Qualifications & Skills

  • A Grade 12 certificate/School Certificate with credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
  • A minimum of a bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline
  • Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management is required
  • Certificate in Purchasing and supply and an advantage
  • At least live (5 ) years’ relevant experience in a reputable organization
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and management skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter
  • Exceptional decision-making skills and effective communication skills
