The Human Rights Commission is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the following positions to be based in Lusaka.

Education and Training Officer – Salary Grade: HRC/F

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. a) Candidate must be a Zambian with a minimum age of 25 years
  2. b) Have a BA degree in Education or any relevant Social Science
  3. c) A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Education and Training. Experience in community engagement and human rights-related training will be an added advantage

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

The successful candidate will report to the Chief-Information, Education and Training and will be responsible for:

  1. a) Initiating and facilitating the development of appropriate human rights education materials to promote respect for human rights and creation of a sustainable human rights culture:
  2. b) Initiating and undertaking human rights education programmes through effective use of a wide range of methods, including social media platforms:
  3. c) Conducting and facilitating human rights training programmes in order to build the capacity Of educators in human rights and raise human rights awareness;
  4. d) Facilitating accurate translating and simplification of domestic and international human rights instruments and:
  5. e) Facilitating the distribution of information, education and communication materials in order to increase human rights awareness
