The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) was established through an Act of Parliament, the Road Traffic Act No. 11 of 2002, with the mandate to implement Government policy on road safety, road transport, and traffic management. The RTSA seeks to employ talented and qualified professionals for the following position:

ICT System Analyst – RTSA4 (1 Position)

This job holder shall report to the Head ICT with the purpose of maintaining and operating RT SAS computer systems networks.

Specific Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and implement the Agency’s LAN, WAN, and ICT security policy
  • Maintaining virtual private networks, firewalls, email security and web protocols, security, and programs.
  • Maintain intrusion detection!prevention systems
  • Analyzing and implementing new security protocols and technologies and investigating security breach alerts
  • Deploy, administer and maintain network infrastructure (switches. routers, firewalls)
  • Analyses infrastructure to identify security risks and implement improvements
  • Designs and implement security-related emergency procedures

Job Specifications Required

  • Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent and at least 5 – 7 years post qualification experience in the field of ICT;
  • Membership to relevant professional bodies.
  • Knowledge of TCP/AP, networking, hardware, and operating systems
  • Cisco or Fortinet certification is desirable
  • LAN/WAN concepts, firewalls, SDN, IDS/IPS
  • Linux and Windows
