ICT Technicians Wanted: University of Zambia [6 Positions]

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions at the University of Zambia:

CENTRE FOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

JOB TITLE: ICT TECHNICIAN (06 POSITIONS)

Purpose: To provide first line ICT support to staff and students in the University.

Responsibilities:

  •  Prepares and participates in the preparation of work plans.
  •  Plans ICT in the Schools/Units.
  •  Carries out ICT hardware maintenance.
  •  Carries out software maintenance.
  •  Upgrades ICT equipment.
  •  Undertakes computer network and telephone cable management.
  •  Trains users in ICT usage.
  •  Maintains ICT inventory for the School/Unit.
  •  Prepares and participates in the preparation of daily activities and weekly reports.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Diploma in ICT with A+ and N+.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.
