Impact Network Latest Job Vacancy in Zambia: Human Resource Manger


The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for overseeing all staffing and any other issues relating to employees within the organisation, which has 170 employees. He/She will work closely with the operations team to ensure that all policies and procedures regarding employees are followed.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Sort, capture and track all employment applications
  • Schedule and conduct interviews
  • Prepare monthly payroll submissions
  • Prepare monthly timesheets and track leave for all staff
  • Complete all filings to NAPSA and ZRA in accordance with the laws of Zambia
  • Ensure appropriate registrations, including Teaching Council of Zambia, are completed
  • Liaise with government agencies such as the Ministry of Labor and District Council as needed
  • Maintain and digitize all documents, office files and records including personnel files on all staff
  • Direct the employee performance management system
  • Resolve employee grievances in accordance with organizational policy
  • Provide oversight to data collection processes, analysis and usage
  • Keep all policies updated and recommend new policies, approaches and procedures
  • Oversee head office supply stocks and office upkeep
  • Additional tasks based on organization needs

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a relevant college degree in Human Resource Management or Public Administration in conjunction with 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Registration with Zambian Institute of Human Resource Management
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
  • Tech skills: Typing, E-mail, Word, Excel, smartphone usage, scanning
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Speak and write fluently in English and Cinyanja
  • Good judgment in troubleshooting, problem-solving, awareness of own limitations, strong interpersonal skills and internal motivation essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability, with strong time management and organization skills
  • At least 2 or more years working in a similar capacity with a small NGO operating in Zambia a plus
  • Class A or B license a plus

Package

  • Basic pay of 4000 Kwacha per month inclusive of transport, housing and meal allowances.
  • Travel expenses for work purposes provided.
