Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following position aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, under the Risk Division at Head Office:

INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure preservation of availability, integrity and confidentiality of the banks IT infrastructure and networks to ensure maximum business value with relevant security programs.

Under the supervision of the Information Security Head, the following are among the Job’s key responsibilities:-

  • Ensure Web security gateway, Perimeter security, Network access control, endpoint encryption and IDS/IPS
  • Engage IT on all Information Security gaps as a result of Internal and external penetration assessments as well as Internal and external vulnerability assessments
  • Investigate intrusion incidents, conduct forensic investigations and monitor incident responses
  • Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
  • Develop information security awareness programs targeted at both ZANACO users and external customers
  • Facilitate and manage encryption keys held by primary custodians (Directors) and Secondary custodians (Heads of Department) and ensure policy guideline is adhered to.
  • To ensure a secure business environment and protection of stakeholder value through ensuring availability, integrity and confidentiality of networks and infrastructure as required by the business
  • To facilitate secure ICT deployments to ensure integrity, confidentiality and availability.
  • To perform and coordinate log management through the Security events and information management (SIEM).
  • Ensure the bank’s ICT infrastructure and Networks security program is delivered in line with the business requirements.
  • Contribute to Operational Risk Committee (ORC), Business IT Meetings, Flexpool meetings and Projects
  • Enable the bank to meet strategic goals by minimizing potential system failure risks, improved system operational efficiency, increased staff awareness of security relating to ICT infrastructure and networks
  • Any other duties and tasks as may be assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 Credits Grade 12 including Mathematics and English
  • Degree in B. Eng./BSc. Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering/Computer Science
  • Certifications CEH/ CRISC/CISM/CCNA/CCNP Security/ MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), Postilion EFT Security
  • Member of ISACA and/or ICTSZ
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

JOB CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Networking Systems
  • Good Banking systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of electronic banking and ATM switches
  • Banking/Financial services Knowledge
  • Good analytical/ financial skills
  • Self-starter
  • Highly developed Interpersonal skills, able to engage with external and internal customers
  • Must have knowledge of Security Information and Events Management (SIEM )
  • Must be conversant with PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and ITIL
  • Must be conversant with Data Centre and Storage security
